The PestWorld 2008 Convention and Exhibition, celebrating its 75th Anniversary, will be held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center on the Potomac in the Washington D.C. Metro area, October 22-25.

Known as the largest gathering in the world of pest management professionals, PestWorld is an annual event that offers you the opportunity to network with industry peers, leaders and suppliers, to exchange ideas, educate yourself and better your business. Bayer will be hosting the opening ceremonies and will be exhibiting at the show. Be sure to stop by the Bayer booth #1021 for some exciting news.

Also happening at NPMA's PestWorld this year is the exciting conclusion to the Bayer Young Scientist of the Year contest. Judges are in deliberation right now to determine this year's winner, which will be announced at the opening ceremony. Stop in and observe the finalists' presentations on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at PestWorld.

The Bayer Environmental Science "Young Scientist of the Year" contest is a scholarship and grant program for graduate students to acknowledge and financially support exceptional research that advances the pest management industry. Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 will be granted to three finalists chosen by the judging panel and the "Young Scientist of the Year" will receive a $10,000 grant to continue his/her research. In addition, a $1,000 scholarship will be donated to the general scholarship fund at the schools attended by each of the three finalists.
