Insights from Ron Kreimeyer, Best Pest Control Services
"We know the first time homeowners turn on the heat, they're likely to see an influx of occasional invaders," he says. "We inspect their property and discuss ways they can help keep pests outside, including using Bayer's Maxforce® family of products for ant control and Suspend® SC around their homes to protect the perimeter."
He likes to discuss preventive measures with customers before they have a serious infestation. Yellow jackets, hornets, silverfish, rodents, centipedes, spiders and ants are all common fall invaders in New England, so Kreimeyer offers preventive services to manage those pests. Conducting thorough perimeter inspections is one way in which Kreimeyer has helped manage his customers' seasonal pests.
For example, recent conditions in his area have resulted in a number of calls to manage springtails. "The right weather conditions really get them going," Kreimeyer says. "They like moist, decaying vegetation. So normally it's just a matter of cleaning up outside."
Bayer continues to create products that help PMPs like Kreimeyer to tackle their most challenging perimeter pest issues. "We at Bayer continue to research and develop new pesticide technology, creating formulations that work better and last longer around the home," concludes Eric Lentz, Marketing Manager for Professional Pest Management. "An effective perimeter strategy requires less time to service an account, and uses less pesticideboth benefits that help PMPs keep their customers happy."
