This time of year, spiders are a source of anxiety for homeowners and a major challenge for PMPs.

"Spider treatments carry additional challenges for PMPs based on the pest's biology. Because they traditionally contact insecticides with their 'feet,' it's tough to ensure that spiders will pick up a strong enough dose of the active ingredient to achieve control," says Eric Lentz, GIC marketing manager for Bayer Environmental Science. "Temprid eliminates that challenge because its two active ingredients - beta-cyfluthrin and imidacloprid -- target different areas in the spider's nervous system to trigger a more complete control, which drives down callbacks."

In field trials, PMPs who treated spider infestations with Temprid cut their callbacks by nearly 10 percent when compared with another leading spider control product.

Beyond spiders, Temprid provides quick knockdown and long residual control of more than 50 other pests, including ants and cockroaches. In addition, Temprid offers broad spectrum control and is labeled for indoor and outdoor use, setting it apart from the other leading products as the most flexible perimeter product on the market.
